Sledding

It warmed up enough today to take the kids sledding and snowboarding. We got kind of spoiled in Ames because across from our house was a huge hill to sled on and here it took some driving around to find a place that was adequate. The hill wasn't as big as we were used to, but this kids still had some fun.

Hi Trish, Dr. John wanted to show us that there is snow beyond the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. You have as much as we do.

We spent all day outside when we were kids..so many years ago. We loved to use old cardboard boxes to slide down the hills. They went faster then sleds. Now I don't go out except to get in my warm car.

Gosh! seeing those sledding pics really brought back great memories. Sledding was my favorite thing to do in the winter a child. When I was young mother, I took my kids out to sled and as I was pulling my little daughter up the hill, I twisted my ankle..how sad! Anyway, great pics-I am here by way of Dr. John

Looks like they had a lot of fun. My grandkids came prepared for fun in the snow, but we didn't get to it before they had to go home. We just moved here and at our old place we knew where to go to slide etc. but not here. There is a small incline in our back yard but not enough. I came from Dr John's you were the blog for today
